The Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC) developed its Strategic Plan 2023–2027 to provide a strategic roadmap for driving sustainable agricultural transformation through inclusive, innovative, and climate-smart financing. The Plan positions AFC as a leading development finance institution committed to expanding access to affordable agricultural credit, strengthening priority value chains, enhancing food security, promoting climate resilience, and improving rural livelihoods. It is aligned with key national development frameworks, including the Kenya Vision 2030, the Agricultural Sector Transformation and Growth Strategy (ASTGS) 2019–2029, the Fourth Medium-Term Plan (MTP IV) 2023–2027, and the Government's Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA). The Plan further emphasizes financial inclusion, resource mobilization, institutional governance, operational excellence, and organizational capacity to enable AFC to effectively support the country's agricultural and socio-economic development priorities.
